Upholstery Cleaning Salt Lake City
Your Upholstery probably takes a beating. I believe Upholstery cleaning should be cleaned more often than carpet cleaning. If you have kids or pets or a lot of people in your living space then your upholstery probably needs cleaning more often than you have it done. Clothing absorbs anything that it comes in contact with. If someone in your household works a dirty job and then ends up on the furniture then a lot of that dirt is being transferred to your sofa and chairs.
Cleaning Body Oils from our Upholstery
Our Body oils transfer from our skin to anything you touch. Only a little bit transfers every time you touch your sofa or upholstered chair but it adds up over time. These oils then attract and hold dirt to the fabrics.
You have more contact with your Upholstery than your Carpet. Most people only contact the carpet with their shoes and rarely touch it. We tend to spend a lot of time sitting on our furniture. Most people vacuum their carpet regularly but not their sofas, chairs or other upholstered furniture.
Cleaning Dust on your Upholstery
Do you dust your house? If you dust your house then you know that a lot of dirt settles from the air onto your chairs and couches also. When you sit on the sofa and chair furniture then this dirt gets worked into the fabric. Regular vacuuming of your furniture will help.
Pets on Furniture
If you have pets they are most likely on your furniture. Even if they are trained to stay off the furniture they will be on it. When I was a kid we had a German Shorthair Pointer. She was a great hunting dog and a great family dog. She was very well trained and stayed in the kitchen and just inside the living room when we were home. If we left the door from the kitchen open when we were gone we would find a warm spot on the couch when we got home. She had mainly white hair and that would show her spot on the couch also.
Pet odors in Upholstery
There is a lot of transfer from our pets to our furniture. Pet hair, fur and dander will naturally end up on your furniture. Oil from your pets coats will transfer to whatever they come in contact wih. Pet odors are often linked to the natural oils from the fur of your pet. Even if you wash your pets regularly they will deposit oils from their fur onto your sofa, chairs, or other upholstered furniture that they come in contact with.
